This was a relatively small, but nevertheless stunning example of the work DLD Engineering can produce. The job consisted of a light steel frame, staircase, and a quantity of balustrading all with a striking, silver powder coated, modern minimalist design. The staircase is revolutionary in its design due the fact it was designed with a minimalist approach, and as a consequence to this the staircase had no stringers or supports under the treads, or into the adjacent walls, meaning that its sole rigidity came from the strength of its fabrication, and fixings into the floor above and below. Above shows two pictures incorporating most facets of the job, and in particular the slender design of the balustrades. Below shows a detailed picture of the pivoted connection between the rafter and vertical support of the light steel frame of the building.
